This table is from the “Glamour Girl” skybox collection and personally a favorite of mine. Initially, I wasn’t going to sell this piece separately from the skybox, but later on decided otherwise. It’s a simple design, yet has so much to offer. It’s perfect for the girl that likes to stare in the mirror for hours and has lovely feminine animations to compliment it. The table has props inside that a girl can hold while performing each animation. If you look closely, there are naughty little references on certain products that are included. For example, the face cream jar that girls hold while applying it is named “White Honey” 😮 for those that like to be daring!

The tissue box on the table is named “Sticky Fingers” for girls (or boys!) that have little accidents 🙂

The makeup on the table is well made and allows the buyer to change the color with a simple touch. Little details are included to give the table an even more ‘girly’ feel with the single stemmed rose in a vase and the “Second Style” Magazine (which has actually be around for awhile). Shadows are included with the build to add realism. Overall, it’s a table that any girl shouldn’t be caught  without and can even be used as a lovely prop for girls in the fashion world, or ones that just want to be pretty 🙂

There’s a trend picking up in the Role Playing community for High School and College role play in Second Life and I can definitely understand why.  There’s something sweet and nostalgic about reliving your high school and college days, and having the pleasure of doing so through someone else.  Your days can be filled with parties, hot co-eds, and decadence…all with NO consequence.

With that in mind, I decided to create a couple of dorm rooms for students, a male and female version.  Being a dork, the television show “Heroes” was a favorite of mine.  We all remember “Claire the Cheerleader” don’t we?  Well, during her college years they’d often show her whining in her dorm room about some teen angst issue.  The DIRTY BOXES  “Glamour Girl” and “Boi Dorm” were both modeled after her room.  The decorations aren’t the same of course, but it’s where I got my inspiration.

The “Glamour Girl(GG) Dorm” is extremely girly with its eye-catching color combinations that really grab a girl’s attention. It isn’t just a room, but was created to allow the user to hang-out with their friends. There’s a table and rug included where at least five can sit around, eat and chat with one another. Beds are animated for singles or for couples when they want to get close. The best feature of the room just may be the GG Vanity Table. It really allows a girl to interact with its feminine animations. There’s even makeup on the table that changes colors when touched. What girl doesn’t like to primp in front of the mirror before a hot date? It’s a lovely addition for not only Role Players, but anyone who likes to play.

The “Boi Dorm” is the male version dorm and is the complete opposite of the GG Dorm. It’s semi-grunge with messy floors, papers scattered all about, and dirty clothes left here and there. The color of the room is a traditional blue with posters and wall art that definitely reflect the male persona.

So whether you’re a Role Player or a resident looking for something fun, Both rooms are filled with animations and allow the user to fully interact. It’s a must see 🙂 Visit DIRTY BOXES -db- in world and rez both the “Glamour Girl” and “Boi Dorm” skyboxes to see both boxes in action.

A Grungy Motel Skybox for Second Life

It seems fitting that since this was my very first creation in skyboxes, that this should be my very first entry 🙂

This motel room is actually true to life.  It’s one that I’ve seen before in my first life and was never able to erase it from my mind.  As a Role Player in Second Life, I would wish someone would be kind enough to make a tiny little get away like this one.  There were some out there, but non that fit what it was that I was looking for.  So I created this and decided to share with the rest of the community.  I got a lot of positive feedback regarding it and decided to keep going with ideas.

When I first started SL, I was more interested in contemporary furnishings.  However, during my RPing years, grunge started influencing my taste more and more.  I loved the filth and how dark and grungy everything appeared.  It now influences a lot of my current creations with DIRTY BOXES.

In this skybox, the floors are stained, the walls damaged, and the furniture a little run-down.  It’s crappy in a chic way with it’s bordered up windows, broken television and nasty bath that’s attached.  A resident in world by the name of Jackson Sharple contacted me with the following comment:

“It’s perfect. The ideal amount of sleaze I was going for. Heh. The low amount of prims allows me to put in my own poses, as well. Just wanted to say thank you for a job well done.”

The lighting is scripted with color variations and there are male/female/couple animations in the furniture.  Visit DIRTY BOXES in world to view the entire skybox up close and personal 🙂
